20th Anniversary ADA Events in Chicagoland and beyond

Nearly 20 years ago, President George H.W. Bush signed into law the Americans with Disabilities Act, proclaiming, “let the shameful wall of exclusion finally come tumbling down.” 

While still more to be done, the landmark civil rights legislation has given people with disabilities a tool with which to assert their rights, and has changed the face of disability nationwide, sending the message that disability is a natural part of live.
